About eMIMS Elite
eMIMS Elite (enterprise version of eMIMSplus) provides medicines information for prescription and non-prescription pharmaceuticals available in Australia, including:
- CYP450 Interactions: medicine interactions involving Cytochrome P450 enzymes.
- Dental Medicine: up-to-date, evidence-based information for dental practitioners curated by the MIMS Team.
- IV Compatibility Guide: easy access to need-to-know information on medicine and solution compatibility for safe administration of IV injectable medicines.
- Medicine Allergy Checker: identify potential medicine allergies by comparing the patient’s allergy profile against medicines of interest.
- Medicines in Pregnancy: compare the safety of medicines within therapeutic classes and identify potentially unsafe medicines during pregnancy.
- Medicines in Sport: identify potentially prohibited medications in- and out-of-competition based on the World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA) Prohibited List.
- MIMS Interaction Checker: find interactions for a single medicine or check for interactions between up to 20 different medicines simultaneously.
- Pill Identifier: identify medicines by colour, shape, markings and other visual characteristics.

Eligibility
eMIMS Elite is available to:
- Canberra Health Service (CHS) staff
- ACT Health Directorate (ACTHD) staff
- ANU medical students
- Students on placement at CHS or ACTHD.
How to Access
eMIMS Elite is available as a:
- website - accessible on desktop and mobile devices
- mobile app (called eMIMSplus) for Apple and Android devices.
Accessing the eMIMS Elite website from a personal device remotely (e.g. from home) will prompt you to login using your ACT Government login details.
Mobile App
The eMIMSplus mobile app is available for Apple and Android devices and replaces the iMIMS and MIMS for Android apps.
Registration
Registration is required to generate a personal mobile app token which is used to access the eMIMSplus mobile app. MIMS tokens previously used to access iMIMS or MIMS for Android are still valid and can be used to access the eMIMSplus mobile app.
To register for a token:
- Visit eMIMS Elite* (using this link)
- Select ≡ (top right)
- Select Request Mobile Token
- Enter your act.gov.au email address. If you have previously registered for a token, a confirmation email will be sent. Otherwise, complete the Mobile Token Request Form.
*Access from a personal device outside the ACT Government network will prompt you to login using your ACT Government login details.
Installing the app
- Visit the App Store for Apple Devices, or Google Play for Android devices
- Download the eMIMSplus app
- Open the app, and select Token
- Enter your MIMS token provided in the registration confirmation email
- Tap Login.
Content updates
To ensure all content is available as real-time data, the eMIMSplus app no longer supports content downloading for offline use.
Renewing registration
Annual registration renewal is required to maintain access to the eMIMSplus mobile app. A renewal notice with instructions will be emailed to you on the anniversary of your registration.

I'm accessing the eMIMSplus mobile app in for the first time. Do I need to enter a username and password?
No. To access the eMIMSplus app:
- Open the app and select Token
- Enter your personal MIMS token provided in the registration confirmation email
- Tap Login.
I've lost or forgotten my app token
To request a mobile app token:
- Visit eMIMS Elite* (using this link)
- Select ≡ (top right)
- Select Request Mobile Token
- Enter your email to receive your token
- A confirmation email will be sent with your token
