About eMIMS Elite

eMIMS Elite, the enterprise version of eMIMSplus, provides comprehensive information on Australian prescription and non-prescription medicines, detailing dosages, interactions, contraindications, and adverse effects. Key features include MIMS Crush, CYP450 Interactions, pill identifier, interaction checker, IV compatibility guide, and allergy checker. Additional modules include Medicines in Pregnancy, Dental Medicine, Medicines in Sport, and Inhaler Technique Videos from the Lung Foundation Australia.

    How to Access

    eMIMS Elite is available online and through the eMIMS Elite mobile app.

    Always use links on the Library's website to ensure seamless access to resources. When using a personal device, you may be prompted to log in with your work email address and password (your ACT Government login) to verify your affiliation with CHS or HCSD.

    Mobile App How-to Resources

    Mobile App

    The eMIMSplus and eMIMS Elite mobile apps are available for Apple and Android devices. Unlike eMIMSplus, eMIMS Elite provides the option for users to switch to offline mode, ensuring uninterrupted access to content in areas with unreliable internet.

    To access either app, register to generate a personal mobile app token.

    1. Visit eMIMS Elite
    2. Select ≡ (top right)
    3. Select Request Mobile Token
    4. Enter your @act.gov.au email address. If you have previously registered for a eMIMS mobile token, a confirmation email will be sent with your token. Otherwise, please fill in the Mobile Token Request Form.
    1. Download the eMIMS Elite (or eMIMSplus) app from the App Store or Google Play
    2. Open the app, and select Token
    3. Enter your MIMS token provided in your registration confirmation email
    4. Tap Login.

    The eMIMSplus and eMIMS Elite apps display real-time data so users always have access to the most current information. However, the eMIMS Elite app also supports offline mode. This option ensures uninterrupted access to content in areas with unreliable internet.

    New content is delivered to both apps through monthly updates. In offline mode, users must download an initial 1.2GB of data, with ongoing downloads to keep content up-to-date.

    Note: calculators are only available in online mode.

    To switch to offline mode in the eMIMS Elite app:

    1. Open the eMIMS Elite app and tap the menu icon (top right)
    2. Tap Switch to Offline Mode
    3. Confirm by selecting Offline Mode.

    To check the currency of the downloaded database in offline mode:

    1. Tap the menu icon (top right)
    2. Data Version will be displayed below the user name.

    Annual registration renewal is required to maintain access to the eMIMS Elite mobile app. A renewal notice with instructions will be emailed to you on the anniversary of your registration.

    Do I need a username and password to log in to the mobile app?

    No. To access the app:

    1. Open the app and select Token
    2. Enter your personal MIMS token provided in your registration confirmation email
    3. Tap Login.

    I can't remember or find my app token 

    To re-request your app token:

    1. Visit eMIMS Elite
    2. Select menu icon (≡)
    3. Select Request Mobile Token
    4. Enter your email to receive your token
    5. A confirmation email will be sent with your token.
