Renewing Loans

The Library uses automatic renewals to extend your loans. Items are lent for an initial period of 4 weeks. After the initial borrowing period, items are automatically renewed for a further 4 weeks unless:

  • an item is requested by another Library client. You will be notified by email, and the item must be returned by the due date.
  • an item is recalled by the Library
  • you have reached the maximum loan period (12 weeks)
  • you have overdue loans
  • your Library account has been blocked.

If you need an item for longer than 12 weeks, contact the Library Service Desk for assistance.
