About ClinicalKey
ClinicalKey (Australian edition) supports informed decision-making by providing evidence for diagnosing, treating, and preventing various conditions. The platform includes reference books, journals, point-of-care monographs, and drug information. Clinicians can also access clinical overviews, procedural videos, guidelines, and patient education materials for personalised care and effective communication.
How to access
ClinicalKey is available online and through the ClinicalKey mobile app.
Always use links on the Library's website to ensure seamless access to resources. When using a personal device, you may be prompted to log in with your work email address and password (your ACT Government login) to verify your affiliation with CHS or HCSD.

Mobile app
Access to the ClinicalKey mobile app content requires registration:
- Visit ClinicalKey (using this link)
- Click Register (top right of screen)
- Complete the registration form using your @act.gov.au email address
- A confirmation email will be sent.
We recommend enabling the 'Remote Access' setting to ensure continuous access to content, even when your device is not connected to the ACT Government network.
- Visit ClinicalKey
- Click ≡ (top right of screen)
- Select Remote Access
- Enter your @act.gov.au email address and click Continue
- Click the activation link in the verification email.
- Download the ClinicalKey app from the Apple App Store, or Google Play
- Open the app and select Organizational Subscription
- Select ClinicalKey
- Under Edition, select ClinicalKey Australia
- Tap Get Started
- Select Access via your Organization
- When prompted to "Use elsevier.com to sign in", select Continue
- Enter your @act.gov.au email address
- If prompted on first sign in, select Canberra Health Services as institution and follow email confirmation prompts
- Enter your ClinicalKey account password
- Tap Sign in.
To maintain remote access to ClinicalKey you will need to log in to ClinicalKey using your registered account every 6 months.
- Open ClinicalKey
- If accessing from a person device, you will be prompted to enter your ACT Government login
- Once you have access to ClinicalKey, select Login (top right)
- Enter your @act.gov.au email address and ClinicalKey password created at registration.
