November 2024 Monthly Literature Search – Shift Work Sleep Disorder
This month’s literature search is on shift work disorder. Shift work disorder – also known as shift work sleep disorder – is a condition that primarily affects people who work night, early morning, and rotating shifts (American Academy of Sleep Medicine). The symptoms of the disorder consist of insomnia or excessive sleepiness, and can cause significant challenges that impact on work and family life (Australasian Sleep Association).
